Scottish Volleyball’s Coaches Commission is looking for members of our community to join them in developing the coaching in Scotland.
The commission works to support Scottish Volleyball’s Coaching Managing, Development Officers and other staff in their delivery of volleyball and courses.
The commission are looking for active club coaches across any level of activity (senior, junior, local league, development, etc), education staff (schools and further education establishments), general club members who have an active interest in the coaching practices in Scotland.
Remit of the Coaches Commission
The Coaches Commission is charged with the responsibility to develop the sport of volleyball (across all three disciplines) by focussing on issues to do with coaching and coach education and, by so doing, encourage increased participation and membership of SV. The actions which are taken to achieve these aims are targeted at promoting specific aspects of SV development plan.
- promote & develop volleyball coaching in Scotland
- manage the delivery of coaching courses
- provide for the development needs of the volleyball coach
- seek administrative support from the offices of SV
- organise an annual diary of coach education and CPD courses
