They came from all over, almost like a religious calling, to Perth’s North Inch over the weekend to savour what has become the most popular event in Scottish Volleyball’s calendar – the now famous Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament – and it didn’t disappoint.
Scottish Volleyball is proud to launch the Tartan Talent Beach Pathway for the 2025 season – an ambitious and inclusive programme designed to inspire and support Scotland’s next generation of beach volleyball athletes.  With five interconnected elements – Discover, Futures, Academy, League, and International Events – the pathway offers clear progression from first touches at local sessions to elite international competitions against future Olympians. Each strand plays a vital role in ensuring athletes at all levels have the opportunity to grow their game, gain exposure, and develop within a supportive national structure.
Perth’s Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament celebrates 40 years of volleyball fun on the North Inch this weekend with a record 151 teams converging on Perth for the popular annual tournament.

Saturday the 26th of April played hosted to the first round of the final leg of the Premier Play Offs, showcasing some of the best volleyball we have in Scotland. Alongside side this were the 3rd/4th place premier play offs, and our promotion relegation matches.
Scottish Volleyball’s most anticipated weekend of the season has now come to a close.  Over four days – from April 17-20 – Edinburgh Pleasance played host to 15 matches, with 12 finals and three showcase games, which made for a total of 30 teams taking to the taraflex!
