Attending the CEV Coaches Convention in Croatia was an unforgettable experience and a real privilege. Over the course of the event, I had the chance to learn from three incredible speakers — each a bright light in their own right. What stood out most was how openly and passionately they spoke about their journeys as both players and coaches.

Although I have played volleyball for nearly twenty years, I have only been coaching for the past two. Scotland is set to make waves on the international beach volleyball stage this summer as it prepares to host a leg of the 2025 SCA (Small Countries Association) Beach Volleyball Zonal Tour. The tournament, scheduled from the 18th to the 20th of July, will be held on the inland courts at Kyle Academy in Ayr, marking a major milestone in Scotland’s growing beach volleyball scene. Having last hosted in 2023, Scottish Volleyball is excited to be bringing international beach volleyball back to the sand in Scotland.
