Adam Paton

Our Community Development Officer, Adam Paton, will be a familiar name and face to many in Scottish Volleyball. Having previously chaired the Special Events Commission and worked as Junior Administrator and Performance Administrator, Adam brings a wide-range of skills and experience. Adam started playing volleyball at NUVOC as a junior before winning 3 BUCS Scottish Tier 1 titles with the University of Glasgow where he graduated with an MA (Hons) in German and Politics.  

In the Community Development Officer role, Adam leads on getting people playing Volleyball in their local area. Adam works with our Districts and Community Groups to encourage and support Local Leagues as well as recreational training. He will also lead the work on developing Sitting Volleyball for Scottish Volleyball with a focus on working with those with a physical impairment. The role also leads on the relationship with partners such as Scottish Student Sport and Scottish Disability Sport.
