Attending the recent CEV Coaching Conference in Croatia was an incredibly valuable experience, and it more than met my expectations. Although I have played volleyball for nearly twenty years, I have only been coaching for the past two. This meant I arrived feeling quite nervous, but I quickly found that the environment was supportive and inspiring.
The 51st De Haan Volleyball Tournament attracted over 80 teams to the popular Belgian seaside town last weekend, with the summer sun a permanent feature of the festive atmosphere, where three teams from Perth & Kinross, along with one team from Glasgow, represented Scotland.
The Scotland Senior Women’s National Team topped the podium at the 2025 CEV SCA Championships in Dublin, going unbeaten across four matches to claim the gold medal.
They came from all over, almost like a religious calling, to Perth’s North Inch over the weekend to savour what has become the most popular event in Scottish Volleyball’s calendar – the now famous Scottish Open Volleyball Tournament – and it didn’t disappoint.
