Scottish Volleyball is thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for individuals passionate about volleyball and eager to develop their skills in match analysis. The Coaches Commission has identified a lack of trained statisticians within Scottish Volleyball, presenting a key development need. In response, we are launching a Statistician Training Programme that offers comprehensive training and access to professional software to help address this gap.

The programme includes full training on professional software, providing participants with a full licence. Initial training will take place during the much-anticipated Opening Weekend. Those who enrol will be expected to contribute to Opening Weekend, Cup Finals Weekend, and one additional National Team event throughout the season. Moreover, participants will have full access to the software and training resources to practice and refine their skills until June 2025.

Ally Jack, Scottish Volleyball’s High Performance Coach and Coaching Manager, expressed his enthusiasm for the programme:

“We’re delighted to offer this unique opportunity. It’s an excellent entry point for anyone interested in pursuing professional coaching or analysis. Many top coaches started their journey as assistant coaches and statisticians, and we hope this initiative will help create a skilled group of analysts who can support Scottish Volleyball at all levels, including our National Team.”

The normal price of a licence exceeds £700, but Scottish Volleyball is offering a significant discount, with programme participants able to secure their place for just £200.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to expand their involvement in the sport or take their first steps toward a career in volleyball coaching and analysis. For more information or to secure your place, please contact: .
