Scottish Volleyball are delighted to announce the appointment of two new Development Officers. These posts, supported by sportscotland, replace the previous regional posts with a more specific remit around both Foundation and Community Volleyball.

Maddy Weber has been appointed as the Foundation Development Officer. Her role will include supporting grassroots Volleyball and working closely with schools and other educational establishments.  She will take on the lead of the CEV Schools Project and manage the proposed increased School Festivals and Cups.

Adam Paton will undertake the Community Development Officer remit which includes the introduction of new recreational opportunities and the development of new clubs and community drop-in sessions.  Adam will also be looking to expand the student offering across Scotland, working closely with new Active Campus staff in developing opportunities for Volleyball across Scotland.  The introduction of a Sitting Volleyball offering is also included in Adam’s remit.

Both of the new staff can be contacted via email on and started Monday 1st July 2024.

Head of Development, Blair Pettigrew, said “I am delighted to be adding Maddy and Adam to the Scottish Volleyball staff.  There were several strong applicants for both roles, and I would like to congratulate both Development Officers on their appointment and warmly welcome them to team.  The new staff structure will allow us to effectively deliver on the aims and objectives of “We Are Volleyball” strategic plan and would like to thank SportScotland for their support in this transition and with the recruitment process.”
