Club Leader Academy

New for 2027, Scottish Volleyball is delighted to announce our Club Leaders Academy.  This bespoke online and in person programme will support club officials in developing modern, industry leading clubs. 

The programme has been made possible by CEV Solidarity Fund and has been designed specifically for Volleyball Clubs Leaders to give them the insight and learning to help navigate the challenges of running a modern well governed club whilst supporting participants to develop a long term club development plan. 

The 12 -month training programme will include learning around the following areas: – 

  • Personal effectiveness and Leadership 
  • Club Development Plan (part 1)   
  • Club Legal structures.  
  • Social media for clubs.  
  • Recruitment & Retention of volunteers.  
  • Sports management  
  • Online club management tools.  
  • Writing a successful funding bid.  
  • Coaching structures and pathways  
  • Club Development planning. (part 2)  

Participants will be expected to undertake all training, provide peer to peer feedback and create a development plan for their club over the course of the programme.  As well as learning from a range of external educators from sector leading organisations, participants will be provided with a minimum of two 1-2-1 support sessions throughout the programme and a number of group learning sessions.  For ease of delivery and access for participants, most sessions will be delivered online, out with normal work hours. 

The cost of the programme is £1249 per individual participant but registered clubs with Scottish Volleyball can access two heavily subsided places at just £100 each provided they attend all sessions and complete the course.   Spaces are extremely limited and accessed by application.
