Scottish Volleyball Board Announcement
The Board of Scottish Volleyball wishes to announce the appointment of an Interim Finance Director, Grant Guthrie.
Grant was recommended to Scottish Volleyball and after an interview process with the Chair of our Board, Leigh Watson, our CEO Margaret Ann Fleming MBE and our Finance Manager, Ailien Pallot, Grant was invited to take on this interim role. The Boards Finance Director is interim until Scottish Volleyball’s next membership meeting, planned to be held later this year. At this point and after advertisement of the role, Grant shall either step down as another has been elected or if elected by our membership shall take on the role for the next four years.
Grant said “As a self-employed finance consultant with 20 years experience in leading finance functions, strategic leadership, business transformation, FP&A and optimizing finance operations over diverse industries. I enjoy most sports, both playing and watching, I was a competitive swimmer growing up and currently manage my son’s football team. I am delighted to offer my support, experience and enthusiasm to Scottish Volleyball and look forward to working with the Board and the membership”
Grant replaces the member elected Finance Director Kirsteen Houston who unfortunately resigned due to personal reasons at the tail end of 2025. The Board of Scottish volleyball wishes to sincerely thank Kirsteen for her time, commitment and dedication to our Board and in the role of Finance Director.
