The 2025 Scottish Volleyball Premier League Playoff Finals delivered a thrilling conclusion to the season. City of Glasgow Ragazzi and City of Edinburgh emerged as champions in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively.
In the Men’s Final, City of Glasgow Ragazzi faced off against Edinburgh-based NUVOC. City of Glasgow won the first leg with a comfortable 3-0 over the team in maroon, so a big comeback was required if NUVOC were to leave as champions. City of Glasgow Ragazzi proved why they were last year’s SVL Champions, however, taking the match with a 3-0 win (25-20, 27-25, 26-24).

The Women’s Final saw City of Edinburgh take on the Edinburgh Jets. City of Edinburgh, who topped the regular season standings with 13 wins out of 14 matches, had beaten Edinburgh Jets 3-0 in the previous leg of the playoffs. Edinburgh Jets came out swinging, taking the first set 27-25 before City of Edinburgh claimed the next two, winning 25-14 in both sets. Jets weren’t going down without a fight, though, winning the fourth set 25-20 to force a fifth. The final set could have gone either way, but it was City of Edinburgh who took home the championship, winning 15-9.

Both finals were held at the University of Glasgow’s Stevenson Building, providing a fitting stage for the culmination of a competitive season. The matches showcased the high level of talent and determination present in Scottish volleyball, promising an exciting future for the sport.
