This week Scottish Volleyball delivered the first Teacher Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of the 2024/2025 school year. St Ninians High School in Giffnock has taught volleyball to the S4 to S6 pupils in previous years and is planning to add volleyball to their curriculum for students in S1 to S3 moving forward. Our Foundation Development Officer, Maddy, was able to go along and give the PE department some basic input on the skills, drills and games that teachers can do to give their pupils the best chance at finding success and fun in volleyball.
Maddy said, “It was a great opportunity to meet with the teachers, teach some of the basics of volleyball, and support them in getting their school playing volleyball.
“This was my first time delivering Teacher CPD since joining Scottish Volleyball, so it was an excellent learning experience for me as well!”
With schools getting back in session, we’re excited by all we have to offer! Follow the link below to find out what your school can access by affiliating with Scottish Volleyball.
