Project: Physio and Scottish Volleyball’s Senior National Squads: A Match Made in Heaven

Scottish Volleyball are excited to announce a new partnership with Project: Physio, a long term supporter of volleyball in Scotland. Project: Physio will give support for our two senior national teams, providing medical and performance support to both teams, with players benefitting from reduced costs to access the sports physiotherapy aspect of the clinic, both in-person and virtually.

“The prehab and rehab provided by Project: Physio is essential to keeping all our athletes healthy and performing at their best,” says Ally, Head Coach for the Senior Men’s National Team. Head Coach for the Senior Women’s National team, Danny, also said that “Having access to extremely knowledgeable support allows the players to be at 100% when they represent the national team.”

Project: Physio’s clinic and rehabilitation gym, based in Edinburgh, will provide the national teams with in-depth and unique insight into volleyball-specific aspects of performance using its cutting-edge testing equipment. The testing results will then allow Project: Physio to advise on injury reduction, optimizing performance, and improving recovery.

With over 20 years of experience in elite sports, including 13 in international volleyball, Project: Physio draws on a vast amount of knowledge to best support its national-level athletes.

“We are thrilled to become an essential part of the fantastic support network built around Scottish Volleyball’s senior national teams,” says Kenny Watt, lead physiotherapist for Scottish Volleyball and Project: Physio representative. “Our goal is to help the players achieve their full potential and reach new heights in their careers.”

The partnership between Project: Physio and Scottish Volleyball’s Senior National Squads is a match made in heaven. With Project: Physio’s expertise in sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation and Scottish Volleyball’s commitment to providing its players with the best support, the players are guaranteed to receive the best medical and performance support available.
