Scottish Volleyball launch huge summer Beach Programme for juniors

During an exciting Zoom call last night with new Head of Beach Performance Felipe Humana-Paredes, Scottish Volleyball staff announced the new Junior National Team Beach Volleyball programme for 2022.

Starting with four regional development sessions, all junior members interested in playing beach are strongly encouraged to get down to their local beach and receive coaching input from the National Team coaches. These sessions are completely free of charge, with attendees simply requiring a Tier 3 membership (£3.50) and to register on the Scottish Volleyball Membership Database. Each session will run from 13.00 to 15.00 on the following dates.

Aberdeen Sunday 22nd May:


Selected athletes will then be invited to attend national sessions in St Andrews to prepare for upcoming events later this summer. These will take place from 11:00 till 16:00 on each of the following dates; Sunday 29th May, Sunday 12th June, and Sunday 19th June. Athletes will require a Tier 1 membership for these sessions (£8.50, or £5 upgrade from Tier 3) but there will be no further costs for the sessions but tickets must be registered. 

There are a lot of opportunities for juniors of all levels this year, from the Scottish Junior Beach Volleyball Championships in Troon on Sunday 26th June (entries opening soon) to the UKBT Junior Championships at Sandbanks Beach in Poole on Sunday 3rd July. Entries for UKBT are open now at but please speak to Scottish Volleyball if you have any questions. Finally, for our National Team athletes, trips to Ireland, Greece, or Turkey potentially await. Entries for these events are through Scottish Volleyball with selections made by the National Team coaching staff.
