The Scottish Volleyball Association would like to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE day, the day which marked the end of World War 2 in Europe by pausing to remember the sacrifice made by so many whilst celebrating the peace they delivered.
Due to the current pandemic the countries planned celebrations have been curtailed but we would encourage all our members to join with the staff in a moment of reflection with the 2 minute silence at 11am and a celebration with the “Nations Toast” at 3pm on Friday 8th May.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We shall remember them.
