Scottish Volleyball Introduce New Fund to Support Youth Athletes

The Inspire fund is the legacy of the Flying Scots tournament held in 2019, thanks to the support of the parents of the young Scottish players involved in the competition and some previous development work done in East Lothian. The Inspire fund aims to help young athletes to develop their volleyball dreams. The fund is to support athletes with the cost of training, equipment, and travel to volleyball events. If successful, you will be awarded £50 to spend on volleyball!

Thank you to the Ruth Nicholls Foundation, East Lothian and all of the parents who have helped with raising money to make this possible!

We welcome and encourage applications from anyone, particularly if you are in the need of a little extra support!

Each athlete applying for the fund, will need to:
– be eligible to compete for Scotland.
– be aged 14-20 at the time of applying for the fund.
– submit 150 words on how the fund will benefit you, e.g. buying shoes for training, travelling to a camp etc. The more detail, the better!
– indicate bank details to which the grant will be paid to

There will be four windows open during the next two years (September 2023, March 2024, August 2024, March 2025). There are limited funds available. Awards will be given to those that can demonstrate impact.
