Scottish Volleyball is delighted to announce the appointment of four new coaches for the indoor National Team Programmes.
Under 20 Men
Ken Fraser has worked in the Junior Men’s Programme for several years and take over the role of Head Coach. Ken’s club coaching is with Volleyball Aberdeen, where he runs teams at both junior and senior level. He has vast experience within Scottish volleyball as a coach and referee. His Under 20 Programme will start in August.
Under 17 Men
Doug Crockart will lead this exciting new programme with his extensive experience as a high-level player and experienced coach with City of Edinburgh and Dundee. Doug has been part of the Junior Men’s setup for several years and will use his experience to help guide this youngest group of players on the start of their performance journey.
Under 19 Women
Tom Rooney has been appointed as Head Coach of the Women’s Under 19 Programme. Tom has worked in the National Team setup for many years as an Assistant Coach. He is a coach with years of experience and many successes in junior and youth volleyball with Caledonia West and Glasgow University.
Under 17 Women
Aitana Verdu Schlie has been appointed as Head Coach of a new U17 Women’s programme. Aitana has worked with young players in NUVOC and Edinburgh University and will bring her experience as a coach and player to this exciting new programme. This group will start young players on their pathway through the NT Programmes.
