Dear member,
Scottish Volleyball wishes to highlight that last weekend individuals chose to play beach volleyball on a crowded Portobello beach. This was not an authorised and or sanctioned event organised by Scottish Volleyball. As an organisation we are strictly adhering to the British and Scottish Governments advice on social distancing and I personally ask that all our clubs, members and volunteers continue to support Scottish Volleyball with these carefully considered decisions. This is not an easy time for everyone involved in our sport and in our wider community. It is our social responsibility to minimise the spread of COVID-19 and this pandemic and I therefore ask members to abide by the Governments full recommendations and follow the guidelines on social distancing. I really thank you all for respecting this statement and I look forward to being in touch once more to advise you that volleyball and all its wonderful qualities is “business as usual.”
