Regular visitors Tameside Volleyball Club’s junior ladies, possibly the top junior club set up in England will be in Scotland this weekend and will play a series of matches against many of the top Scottish junior players.
On Saturday the 16th November a Scotland under 16 select and a Scotland under 18 select will play against Tameside in respective age group matches at Braidhurst High School, Motherwell from 2.30 till 6pm.
Then on Sunday 17th the English girls will be in tournament action against the top junior club sides in Scotland from 10 till 4pm at Ravenscraig..
In the under 16 event, Marr College, City of Edinburgh and Su Ragazzi will pit their skills against their English opponents and in the under 18 event Tameside will be up against Marr, Su Ragazzi and a select side consisting mostly of City of Edinburgh players.
This will be a great opportunity to see many of our best young players in action and we would be delighted if coaches, young players and relatives managed down to offer support and to see what our talented youth players are achieving.
On a separate note, young players between the ages of 13 to 18 are welcome to come and train with the Scotland young senior women at open sessions and the dates of these will be made known through the SVA website and communication to your school. Players ( or their coaches on their behalf) should get in touch with the SVA offices if they would like to take part.
