This extensive career has resulted in an accumulation of experience and knowledge which the SVA hopes shall strengthen volleyball in Scotland primarily within the Special Events Commission and with our overall event management and performance structures.

Therefore it is with great pleasure that I welcome and share with all members a synopsis written by Brian from the new President of the SVA Special Events Commission Brian Minikin.

Margaret Ann Fleming CEO Scottish Volleyball said;

“As you can see Brian has an outstanding and worldwide resume within sport, volleyball and events and I am sure he will be a great addition to SVA Special Events Commission both as leader of this group and as a major driving force behind the new SVA Events Strategy; coinciding with the SVA’s move into

the purpose built National Performance Centre at Heriot-Watt University in 2016. Finally I would like to welcome Brian into the Association and his new role as President of the SVA Special Events commission”
