Scotland YSW Up and Running

Following the great success of the Scotland Young Women’s team at the Katie BarbourEuropean SCD Championships in Cyprus this year we are delighted to inform everyone that the training group is up and running again in preparation for events during 2013 and beyond.

The ambitions for this group are to help develop junior women’s and senior women’s volleyball at school and club level in Scotland as well as helping players prepare for the UK school games, Scotland age group international squads and to make the step up to senior international level. Tasks we feel that we have fulfilled substantially in the last couple of years.

We are working with three age groups under 20, under 18 and under 16 so all current or would be female volleyball players aged 12 to 19 are welcome to attend upcoming squad training sessions.

All you have to do in the first instance is turn up at Wishaw Sports Centre on either the 5th or 6th January( or both) from 10 till 3 pm each day and you will be able to play and train alongside Scotland’s up and coming talent. You will be made very welcome. You will be given further information about the programme while you are there.

Elise RogersPlease don’t discount yourself for any reason. This programme is very much about developing young players whatever their current level of ability or experience and only secondly about the development of national teams.

School and club coaches please encourage your players to attend.

If you require further information please contact the squad manager Aileen Hall on aileenhall1@hotmail.com .

We really hope you will feel able to attend
